Clark Williams

1949 - 2026

Clark Lee Williams, known to many as "Corky," a lifelong resident of Elko County, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 76.

Clark was born in Elko, Nevada, on June 15, 1949, to Charles L. and Christine Williams, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Don Williams, and his sisters, Janet and Darlene Williams. He is survived by his sister, Cindy Williams, her son Skylar Williams, daughter Nicole Lee Zimmerman, her husband Ted, (grandson) Teddy.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who knew him simply as Corky.

A well-known and respected businessman in the Elko community, Clark opened the area's first pawn shop and later, alongside his father Charles, owned and operated a moving and storage company for many years. A skilled craftsman, Clark found his true passion in woodworking and went on to establish Custom Cabinet & Woodworking, where he spent more than forty years creating quality work and earning a living doing what he loved.

In 1967, Clark proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving until 1969 alongside his cousin and several close friends. He attained the rank of Corporal, served as a Vietnam Veteran, and was honored as Marine of the Month. Clark took great pride in being a Marine and often spoke of his lifelong love and respect for the Corps.

Clark will be remembered for his strong work ethic, exceptional craftsmanship, faithful service to his country, and the lasting impression he left on his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service, featuring military honors rendered by the VFW Post 2350 will be held on February 28th at 10:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home Elko, NV.
