Clarke Pearce Dickson, 60, of Meridian, passed away the morning hours of July 1, 2024, at his home.
Pearce was born to Robert Charles and Laura “Kay” Kennedy (Pearce) Dickson on March 17, 1964, at Riley Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. He will be remembered for being a loving father, son, husband, grandfather, and friend. He attended Lamar High School, where he graduated in 1982. Pearce loved hunting and fishing, especially deep-sea fishing on his boat, Big Shot. He enjoyed and lived life to its fullest even until the end. Pearce will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Pearce leaves behind his loving wife of five years, Susan Easley Dickson; mother, Laura “Kay” Kennedy Dickson; his sons, Lewis Clarke Dickson (Haley Haygood), Brock Busbea (Renea), Griffith Kelly, and William Foster Kelly; his daughters, Kennedy Blair Dickson and Anna Frances Kelly; brother, David Durham Dickson (Paula); sisters, Laura Dickson Grice (Tim) and Susan Dickson Sullivan (Dwayne); grandchildren, Adrien Pearce Dickson, Kobie Blaine Dickson, and Carson Blayze Busbea; nieces, Kennedy Ella and Kary Elizabeth Grice; nephew, Tyler Grice (Livia Satterfield); cousins, Chuck Chamblin (Ginger Crawford) and Larke Powell (Ricky) his children’s mother, Michelle Pace; and his eleven beloved English Springer Spaniels.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Dickson; grandparents, Lewis Clarke and Ella K. Pearce; brother, Charles “Bubba” Dickson; and his aunt, Ruth Dickson Fletcher.
Visitation for Pearce will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 5-7pm at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North, located at 7774-A Hwy 39 N.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 8, 2024, beginning at 10am at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North, with Rev. Katie Sorey officiating. There will be visitation held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in the Magnolia Cemetery located at 2638 23rd Avenue in Meridian.
Pallbearers for Pearce’s service will be Clarke Dickson, Brock Busbea, Foster Kelly, Griffith Kelly, Tyler Grice, Terry Gray, Johnny Hastings, and Richard Bailey. Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Kenneth Gilliland, Dane Gressett, and Ricky Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Pearce’s honor to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Meridian, the American Cancer Society, or to the charity of your choice.
