I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Dr. Mayberry´s family and friends. While many called him "Claude" I always called him "Dr. Mayberry." Dr. Mayberry extended a wonderful and amazing opportunity to me back in 2002 to work with him on the production of Science Weekly. It was the best job of my life! About a year prior, I had told a friend if I could imagine my dream job, that would be it. And suddenly, he offered it to me! It was a gift I still appreciate to this day. I loved Science Weekly! I began doing the layout and production work and soon added to my schedule the job of doing all the illustrations as well! It was so much fun! Working with Dr. Mayberry was a gift and challenging too. He taught me so much about producing an educational product and about the publication business and educational system. He introduced me to some wonderful people, including family members -Amber and Janneth, as well as editors, printers, writers, office staff, and education professionals among others. I was so sorry to see that wonderful time come to an end. I was so sad to hear about Dr. Mayberry´s passing. I would like to thank him for giving me the opportunities that he did. To you, his family and friends, please accept my thanks and my condolences for your loss and mine. Dr. Mayberry will be fondly remembered.
