Claudette Gaymon Jackson, 86, widow of George H. Jackson, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at NHC Healthcare-Sumter.

Born October 2, 1938, in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Archie J. Gaymon and the late Alma Hatchell Gaymon. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Sumter First Church of the Nazarene. She retired from the National Bank of South Carolina (now Synovus) after more than 47 years of service.

Survivors include a son, G. Ronald "Ron" Jackson of Dalzell; a daughter, Tonya Jackson Moseley (Britton) of Sumter; five grandchildren, Cameron Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Chappell Moseley Verdouw (Reuben), Molly Moseley Gilbert (Grant), and Ryder Jackson; one great grandson, George Cameron Gilbert; one brother Harry L. Gaymon of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, J. Timothy Gaymon.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery officiated the Rev. Greg Pressley.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Memorials may be sent to Sumter First Church of the Nazarene, 3700 Patriot Parkway, Sumter, SC 29154.
