Claudia Marie Davis, 83, a native of LaPlace, Louisiana and resident of Houston, Texas, departed this life on Sunday, January 18, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Claudia was the third child and second daughter born on January 4,1943, to the late Eddie "Jack" and Janet Murray Sterling. Claudia was raised in a close-knit home that consisted of her parents and her 9 other siblings.

Claudia was a 1961 graduate of Our Lady of Grace Catholic High School. Shortly after graduation, she was united in holy matrimony with Lawrence William Davis Sr. To this union, 4 children were born: Heidi Black, Leila Degree, Lawrence II (Ella), and Leslie (Gregory) Williams.

Claudia was preceded in death by both parents, Jack and Janet Sterling, a sister: Sylvia Harvey, and 3 sisters in law: Naomi Sterling, Karen Mitchell, and Cindy Sterling.

Claudia was a devout Catholic who put faith, family, and friends above all things. She leaves to cherish her memory her 4 children and their spouses, 14 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, her brothers: Milton Sterling, Gerald Sterling Sr., Antoine (Greta)Sterling Sr., and Keith Sterling, her 4 sisters: Patricia Sterling, Carolyn Sterling, Elaine Sterling, Regina (John Sr.) August, a brother in law: Frank Harvey Sr., a sister in law: Connie Mitchell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Priest and parishioners of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and all neighboring Churches, also Our Lady of Grace Class of 1961 are all invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 722 Hwy 44, Reserve, LA 70084. Visitation begins at 8:15am and recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:15am. Interment St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Reserve, LA. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
