Claudia Deeds Obituary

Claudia Elaine Metz Deeds, who resided on Edgemont Rd. in Braddock Heights, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born on April 28, 1945, to the late Hayes Metz and Elizabeth Metz Staub.



She is survived by a daughter, Donna Kendall and husband Dale; a son, Dwayne Deeds and girlfriend Mary Weedon; 2 grandchildren, Julius and Delainey; 2 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Doc Metz.

She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Hazel Jones and Sandy Newcomer, a brother Junie Metz, and a sister in law, Sue Taylor Metz.

She was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of 1963. Claudia started her career at Sagners, she worked at many different companies including Zayre's, Service Merchandise, and Frederick Computers. She retired from Chase Bank in 2010.

She enjoyed travelling, crafting, and was an avid Bingo player for many years. She also enjoyed weekly Friday night Yahtzee games with her family.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:30 am, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD. The family will receive friends in the funeral home at 10:00 am, 30 minutes prior to the service.
