Claudia Mae Landrum

Claudia Mae Landrum of Elgin, departed this earthly life April 14, 2024. She was born June 26, 1941 in Wynne, Arkansas the daughter of Hugh and Irene Robinson. Claudia lived in Elgin since 2014 coming from Rockford, IL. She was employed several years by Septran Transportation and self employed as a home day care provider over 20 years. Claudia was a member of New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church while in Rockford. She attended Childress High School in Wynne.
Claudia leaves to cherish many loving memories, her sons, Rocky Dewayne, Matthew, Darryn Keith, and Kordrey Demone (Trina) ; three daughters, Gwenda Joyce (Isaac), Marva Jo, and Kimberly Irene (Zachary) ; 29 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; godson, who she loved as her own, Robert Kendall; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Leunice Pearson and Minnie Parker; five, brothers, L.C. Arms, Eugene Robinson, Hugh Robinson Jr; Wallace Robinson and Artis Robinson; grand daughter, Chazna Shantell; great grandson, Myles Fluellen.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. James A.M.E. Church 1100 Summit Street Elgin, IL 60120. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Rockford, IL
