Claudia Lynn Lisle, 79, of Searcy, Ark., passed away at her home on Oct. 29, 2025.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1946, in Shelbyville, Tenn, the oldest of five children born to Joe and Bettye Woodroof Alley.
Claudia attended York College for two years before transferring to Harding College, where she met Harry Lisle. The two were married on July 14, 1967, and recently celebrated 58 years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bettye Alley; her sister, Bettye Jo Hamm; and her oldest daughter, Wendy Kay Smith.
Claudia is survived by her devoted husband, Harry; two daughters, Amy (Keith) Shollenbarger of Paragould, Ark., and Rebecca (David) Waller of Haslet, Texas; two sisters, Karen (Spike) O'Dell of Brentwood, Tenn., and Sheryl (Jeff) Jaros of Stevensville, MD; one brother, Ken Alley of York, Neb.; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Claudia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Cloverdale Church of Christ. She had a heart for hospitality - always ready with a home-cooked meal and a warm welcome. She was known for her thoughtful cards of encouragement, her servant's heart, and her joy in spending time with her grandchildren as they grew up.
For 17 years, Claudia devoted her career to caring for others through her work in rehabilitation and respite services at Baptist St. Anthony's Rehab and later at the VA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. After moving to Searcy, she continued to serve her community as a volunteer at the Sharing Shoppe. Throughout her life, she taught children's Bible classes and faithfully ministered to the elderly and those in need.
After moving to Searcy in 2005, Claudia and Harry lovingly cared for her mother in their home for many years - a testament to her deep love and devotion to family.
Claudia's life was defined by faith, service, and love. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Cloverdale Church of Christ. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.
