Claudia M. McClain

Claudia M. McClain, age 91, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on March 22, 2024, in the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born May 25, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant and raised by her grandparents, Oscar and Mary Sprung. Claudia led a life filled with compassion and devotion to her loved ones. Throughout her years, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as gardening and tending to the needs of others. Known for her selfless nature, Claudia always put the well-being of those around her before her own. She took great pride in maintaining her home, ensuring it was a welcoming sanctuary for family and friends. One of Claudia's joys was preparing meals for her grandchildren after school, creating cherished memories. Her kindness and generosity touched the hearts of all who knew her. In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James C. McClain; a brother, Jack Murray; and sister, Georgia Smith. Claudia is survived by her two sons, James R. (Saundra) and Randall S. McClain, of Kecksburg; her sister, Audrey Kozer; four grandchildren, Alexandra (Mark) Bucci, Adam McClain, Markie McClain and Jessica McClain; and four great-grandchildren, Autumn Sky Sultzer, Cayden Wells, Reagan Bucci, and Charlotte Bucci.
