Claudia McCormick

Susan & Family,
I was unable to attend today to say goodbye to Claudia and to let you know how much she will be missed by the St. Matthew community. She was our ray of sunshine, always happy and glowing. I pray for you during this time of great loss.

I met Claudia in 1990 when I moved to Durham and started working at Duke. Claudia was such a wonderful nurse and I learned a lot from her in the PICU. But she was also a very caring, fun, vivacious person who I loved just being around. I will miss her and so will many others here at Duke. Claudia certainly left her mark on Children's services in so many ways. Sending prayers to her family members.

Claudia was a great friend to all, especially my sister, Rebecca. We were fortunate to meet her briefly a few months ago in Durham and had the opportunity to thank her for her kindness. She will be greatly missed.

I'll miss you, my friend. We'll only get to do things in our hearts now. I'll remember you humor and great personality and the love and compassion you had for others. You'll also be a part of my very best memories.
