Claudine Wiles Adams

Mrs. Claudine Wiles Adams, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She was born in Iredell County on September 20, 1940 to Claude and Percie Wiles. Claudine was a pianist at Hanes Grove United Methodist Church for almost 60 years. She was a celebrated basketball player in her younger years, and she was an avid Carolina fan. Claudine loved spending time camping at their place on the New River, where she spent many hours playing cards with her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and everyone loved to eat her food, especially her biscuits and poundcakes. Claudine valued Sunday lunches with her family, and still assured they had that special time for as long as she could. She will be dearly missed by everyone who had the special privilege to know and love her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Adams; a son, Joel Adams, three brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, Keith (Audra) Adams and Daren (Sonya) Adams; grandchildren, Emily (Seth) Adams Williams, Matthew (April) Adams, Luke (Hannah) Adams, Erin Tate, and Molly Adams; great-grandchildren, Ayla Williams, Abi Williams, Annesleigh Adams, and Lily Adams; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Hanes Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, who is serving the Adams family.
