Clayton Joseph Adams, affectionately known as "Clay," passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on July 25, 1962, Dayton, Ohio, Clay led a fulfilling life as a man of many trades, embodying a spirit of dedication and passion in everything he pursued.

Clay devoted his life to nurturing those around him, always eager to share his vast knowledge and skills. He was renowned for his willingness to go out of his way to help others, providing support and encouragement whenever possible. His loving and caring nature made him a dependable figure in the lives of many, and he found immense joy in teaching and guiding others through his experiences.

Family was at the core of Clay’s existence. He treasured the time spent camping with his children during their formative years, creating unforgettable moments that would nurture their spirits for a lifetime. He took immense joy in being a dad to Eric Jones, Katherine Adams, Ashley (Joseph Jr.) Adams, and Michelle (Mark) Knight. His love extended further as he embraced the role of "Papaw," a title he wore proudly while doting on his grandchildren: Tayton Adams, Chloe Dalton, Ciara Corbin, Elaina Skilken, Xavier Knight, Aria Knight, Rylee Knight, and Isaac Long. Each child held a special place in his heart, as he relished the opportunity to be an influential presence in their lives.

In his leisure, Clay found comfort and excitement as a devoted Dallas Cowboys football fan. He loved fishing, cooking out with family, and simply spending quality time with those he adored. These pursuits brought him joy and fostered an environment of laughter and love, where memories were created and bonds were deepened.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Vickie Adams, and his parents, Marcus and Pauline Adams. Clay also leaves behind his sisters, Cynthia (Roger) Maynard, Loria Maynard, Sherry (Jake) Crum, and Ella Miller, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, including special friends Bobby Dillon and Kenneth (Chrystal) White.

Clay joins his late grandfather, Joseph Beirman, and grandmother, Martha Beirman, in eternal rest. Clay’s legacy lives on through the love he shared and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, particularly those fortunate enough to call him family and friend. His spirit will continue to inspire kindness and generosity in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens in Springboro.
