Clayton Wyramon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by MJS Mortuaries - Farmland Chapel on Nov. 25, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Clayton Jacob Matthew Wyramon, 32, of Farmland, Indiana, passed away on November 19, 2025, at IU Ball Hospital in Muncie after a brief hospitalization for complications related to restrictive lung disease. Clayton lived a full, active, and joy-filled life and never let the need for supplemental oxygen slow him down.

Life and character,

Clayton was born at Riley Hospital on September 27, 1993. From the very start his life included physical challenges that later shaped aspects of his development, but he never let those challenges define him. He spent most of his childhood in Fountain City, later moving to the Richmond area where he graduated from Richmond High School.

Clayton was known for his warmth, gentle humor, and unfailing ability to brighten a room. He loved music, children's songs, and the comfort of familiar melodies played through his phone and headphones. He enjoyed church, visiting friends, and taking part in activities that connected him with the people who cared for him. He especially loved driving the golf cart at camp, participating in Sunday school crafts, and taking pride in the friendships he formed over the years.

Support, growth, and community,

After the deaths of his parents in 2016 and 2017, Clayton came to live with his cousin Thomas Duffey and Sherry Brown. Their care gave him new stability and the opportunity to grow from a shy young man into a confident adult. He participated in Randolph County Special Olympics, attended Jay Randolph Development Center, and later Hillcroft Services in Muncie, where he prepared for work several days each week, joined choir and music activities, and took a theater class at the Muncie Civic Theater-appearing in a production and performing a song he loved.

Clayton benefited from the devotion of many direct-support professionals who enriched his life. Long-time helper Shelly Aker-Wilson and her family were constants in his life; after her retirement, Lindsey Hatten continued that care and companionship. His case manager April Walker, behaviorist Rolando, and many staff at Hillcroft were steady sources of encouragement and opportunity. The outpouring of kindness from church members, camp volunteers, and friends-especially his friend Paul Kirkpatrick-added immeasurably to the quality and joy of his life.

Survivors,

Clayton is survived by his brother Cody J E Wyramon and wife Margaret Elaine of Springfield, Georgia; his sister Amber Price and husband Micah; nieces Allyson, Megan, and Wyatt; brother Cory Stanley of Winchester, Indiana; and many cousins and caregivers including Thomas Duffey, Sherry Brown, Tom Duffey Jr., Lindsey Hatton, Karson Duffey, Brook Brown, Dustin Brown, and Scott Monroe and their families.

He was preceded in death by his father Marty Wyramon; his mother Karon Wyramon; Aunt Shirley Duffey; Aunt Candy Shannon; grandparents Norman and Eloise Shannon; paternal grandparents Mavin and Dixie Black of Centerville, Indiana; and Uncle Ernie Eugene Renner of Richmond, Indiana.

Celebration of life

A celebration of Clayton's life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Open Arms House of Worship, 204 East Henry Street, Farmland, Indiana 47340. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Randolph County Special Olympics or Camp Trinity at Open Arms House of Worship.

A final note

Clayton's legacy is the kindness, joy, and quiet courage he shared with everyone he met. He will be remembered for his loving spirit and the many small, unforgettable ways he made life brighter. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Farmland Chapel.

I love you buddy and I'm surely going to miss you so much. I'm sorry we didn't have more time together, but I fear my death just a bit less knowing that, when its my time, you'll be there to greet me.
