I just learned of Len's passing and am saddened by the loss of this very talented man. I had the privilege of meeting Len in person in the TLA Cinema on South Street following the showing of his Moron Movies. When the theater lights came on and I got up and turned to leave, there was Len sitting a few rows back by himself. I got so excited that the star of the show was there that I pointed and said "hey, it's you" to which Len pointed back and said "hey, it's you! I got to tell him how much I enjoyed his humor and we shook hands. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him again but sadly; life happens. May he rest in peace.

Perhaps my biggest influence on being a creator, since I first saw his videos on the tonight show in 1983. I can't put into words how important this man was.

I have been a fan of his work since I was in grade school. In the 90's, when I had to be in junior high or so, I wrote him a letter saying how much I loved his films and what they meant to me. He wrote back a wonderful letter and included a ton of extra articles he'd written. Years later in 2015, I was able to meet him at a live Moron Movies retrospective. He remembered my name and what I wrote! He was so happy to meet fans, taken aback by how much we still loved him. We stayed in contact ever since. He inspired me from childhood to always follow my own path and listen to my heart in whatever I do - no matter what popular opinion may be. I will forever miss Len, he means so much to me and how I've led my life. Rest in peace, godcella.
