Clement Kwei "C.J." Sowa II

HIGH POINT - Clement Kwei "C.J." Sowa II, 9, died Friday, November 14, 2025, at Atrium-Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

He was born September 1, 2016, in High Point and was the son Clement Kwei Sowa and Abigail "Abby" Bonney Sowa. C.J., along with his family, attended Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, and he enjoyed traveling with his family with Ghana and the United Kingdom being special favorites. C.J. loved going to school at Haynes-Inman Education Center where he had attended since 2019; the Haynes-Inman staff was a great source of support and encouragement to him and his family. He was a fanatical Mickey Mouse admirer and one of his biggest fans.

C.J. is survived by his parents Clement K. And Abigail "Abby" B. Sowa; three siblings, Denzel Sowa, Hillary Rose Sowa and Ethan Sowa, all of High Point; maternal grandparents, George Bonney of Ghana and Beatrice Bonney of High Point; and paternal grandparents, Clement and Gladys Sowa of Ghana.

Funeral service celebrating C.J.'s life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the sanctuary of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Clark Chilton officiating. Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery (NC Highway 62, High Point).

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 PM Saturday at the church prior to the service.
