Clendon McCoy Harvey, 68, of
Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, surrounded by love, music, and his family by his side. Clendon was born on November 24, 1957, in
Duncan, Oklahoma, to Vancel and Josephine Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vancel Harvey; his younger brother, Tim Harvey; and his best friend, Roger Gamblin.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Harvey of Duncan; the love of his life and wife of nearly five decades, Gaylynn Harvey of Duncan; his brother, Del Harvey and wife BJ; his sister, Pamela Bernard; his children, Robbie Harvey and wife Brooke, and Dedra Pippin and husband Randy-all of Duncan. He leaves behind his treasured grandchildren who meant the world to him: Tylin Sylvester and husband Kolby parents of his soon to be first great grandchild of Duncan; Kamrin Whaley and husband Trace of Yukon; Alyssa Harvey, Kambree Harvey, and Brandt Pippin, all of Duncan. He is also survived by a multitude of family and friends.
Clendon graduated from Duncan High School in 1976 and married his sweetheart, Gaylynn, in 1977. He spent many years working hard to provide for his family-beginning in the oil field during the 1980s, then at TH Rogers Lumber Company, and later retiring from CMC Marine.
Clendon was a devoted follower of Christ who shared his faith boldly. He led many to the church and raised his family with a strong spiritual foundation, leaving a legacy of faith that continues to ripple through generations. Clendon found joy at the lake or river, fishing, golfing, playing poker tournaments, and watching just about any football game he could find on TV. He was known for his quick wit, infectious humor, and the way he loved his people fiercely and without hesitation. Above all, next to being a husband, his greatest joy was being Pa.
Clendon McCoy Harvey lived a full life marked by laughter, devotion, and kindness-and those who knew him are better for it. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
