Cleo Roedell, 93 year old Mooreland resident, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Crosspointe Church in Mooreland. Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Cleo Paul Roedell was born October 22, 1930 in Quinlan, Oklahoma to Loris Earl and Irene Ellen (DeBock) Roedell. Cleo grew up on the farm east of Quinlan and attended and graduated from Quinlan High School. He was united in marriage to Janis Lee Fallis on December 31, 1950 in Mooreland, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three children: Jerry Don, Pamela Joyce, and Teresa Lynn. Janis preceded him in death in 1983. Cleo worked at several different places including: Santa Fe Railway, Halliburton, Golden Age Nursing Home, Locke Supply, Northwest Ford, Atwoods, and worked for the Corp of Engineers.
Cleo was united in marriage to Lillian Agnes Peterson Morris on September 3, 1983 at the First Christian Church in Mooreland, Oklahoma. They made their home in Mooreland. Cleo enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, hunting, and gardening. He also enjoyed storm watching and was a member of REACT. He was a member of the Crosspointe Church in Mooreland.
He is survived by his daughters: Pamela James and husband John, Teresa Hale and Ib; step children: Max and Karen Morris, Bill and Sandra Morris, Bob and Judy Morris, Lois Marie Morris; 11 grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Cleo was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Don and Dean Roedell, one sister, Dixie Matthews, his wives, Janis and Agnes, one son, Jerry Don Roedell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Integris Paul Silverstein Burn Victims or Crosspointe Church.
