As a sophomore in 1981, I remember going to my first BB practice in the Bulldogs gym. I got to meet Coaches Clester Harrington, J.D. Johnson & Brent Cummins for the first time. From that point on, they changed my life. They not only wanted me to excel in BB, but in life. Did they scream and yell? Of course they did, but it was to push me to achieve greater heights. I've been blessed to have a lot of positive 'father figures' in my life: my own father; my father-in-law and coaches Harrington, Johnson, Cummins & Gary Freeman (HS baseball). Patty, I enjoyed coming by to see "Coach" all these years since I moved to AZ. It brought joy to my heart letting him know that I appreciated all the guidance he provided me. Sorry I couldn't make it in person to show my respect. God bless you and the family.
