Cleve Albert Wright Sr., the beloved son of the late Queen Ushery and Willie Wright Sr., was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on May 7, 1980. He departed this life on November 23, 2025, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Cleve received his early education through the Wilmington, Delaware Public School System. He was a Direct Support Professional with Connections CSP, Inc., where he faithfully provided care, compassion, and support to his clients. Cleve had a true heart for helping others and found joy in serving those around him.
A man of many talents, Cleve had a special passion for cooking. He loved preparing meals for his family and friends, creating moments filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. Cleve also enjoyed cleaning, listening to music, and sharing jokes — his humor and lively spirit brightened every room he entered.
Cleve was preceded in death by his loving parents, Queen E. Ushery and Willie Wright Sr., as well as his bonus daughter, Geneara Stovall.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his dedicated father Joseph Cooper; the love of his life Turleisha Stovall; his children Cleve Wright Jr., Tamia Wright, and Aaliyah Stovall; and his grandson Zakai Wright, who was the light of his life.
Cleve is also survived by his siblings Maria Ushery, Joquita Ushery, Joanne Cooper, Nikki Braddy-Robinson, and Willie Wright Jr. (Annette); his lifelong best friend Camille “Foxxy” Dorsey; his favorite cousin Devin “Mar” Wright; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.
Cleve’s life was marked by love, laughter, service, and a strong devotion to family and friendship. Though his earthly journey has ended, his legacy of kindness, humor, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
