Clifford "Dale" Butterfield Pedersen April 6, 1967 – September 21, 2025
Dale, 58, of Seattle, passed away on September 21, 2025. Born on April 6, 1967, Dale lived a life marked by personal growth and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Dale was known for his warm sense of humor and ability to light up any room with his storytelling and jokes. An avid outdoorsman, he spent many cherished moments hunting ducks, geese, deer, and pheasant, and fishing for salmon and trout. His passion for nature was only matched by his dedication to personal development; Dale was especially proud of earning his GED and the positive changes he made in his life thereafter.Throughout his career, Dale explored several paths but was most passionate about his work as a mechanic. This was a job that allowed him to solve problems and work with his hands, skills he greatly valued.Dale is lovingly remembered by his wife, April Loaris, whom he had been with since 2008. He also leaves behind his siblings: * Lillis Silbernagel of Bellingham, WA * Brad Pedersen of Clarkston, WA * Chris Butterfield of Davenport, WAHe was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Joan Rae (nee Bradford) Pedersen in 1997, and his father, Clifford Stanley Butterfield in 1994.Service InformationA memorial service will be held in the Seattle area in the spring of 2026. Later, Dale's ashes will be scattered at his favorite fishing spot outside of Aberdeen, WA. He will be remembered as someone who learned from his past and strived to make each day better than the last.
