Clifford Critchett Obituary

Clifford Critchett
October 5, 1944 - June 16, 2023
Ft. Worth, Texas - Clifford "Cliff" Critchett passed naturally at his home in Ft. Worth, TX on 16 June 2023, at the age of 78.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 43 years, Angie and his daughter Erica, both of Ft. Worth; brothers and sisters-in-law Wilfred and Barbara Puscher of Maryland, Manfred and Helena Puscher of Virginia, brother-in-law Roland Puscher of Pennsylvania, his nephew Alan (Heidi) Puscher of Pennsylvania, and niece Heidi (Dan) Muczynski of Pennsylvania.
Cliff is preceded in death by his son Anthony, his mother Connie, his niece Julie, and his sister-in-law Pam.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Cliff moved to Lake Worth, Florida at a young age where his love for the water and boating began.
He joined the army and served his country in the Vietnam Counter Offensive Campaign where he was part of the ASA. After leaving the army, Cliff got his B.S.E.E. in 1976 from the University of Florida where his curriculum centered around communications circuits and systems. Cliff was quickly recruited by Motorola and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where he soon met Angie and they established their roots together.
Cliff always had a passion for boating and fishing but after he retired, he developed a love for gardening and photography as well.
Cliff was curious and intentional with a quick, dry wit driven by his intellect. He was selfless and patient and able to find joy in the little things. Cliff demonstrated the purest expression of love for Angie and Erica and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 01 July from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home in the Sandburg Suite. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. Cliff will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the DFW National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the North Texas Laryngectomy Society (https://www.thentls.com/), a non-profit that Cliff was a founding member of and felt strongly about.

Just recently learned about Cliff's passing. Allways appreciated him from my (much) younger days as a friend, mentor (& poker buddy).

Cliff was a vital member of our Fort Worth Orphans Group and we have fond memories of Christmases spent together. He always provided the most clever white elephant for our gifts exchanges.
We are so sorry to learn belatedly of his passing. He will always be a bright and hilarious star in our memories.

Cliff mentored me as a young engineer at Motorola. I fondly recall his thoughtful and logical approach to analyzing technical problems. He would retreat to an empty cafeteria in the afternoon, with a large cup of coffee and study data for a couple of hours. It's a skill I learned from Cliff decades ago and still useful. Cliff's kind nature always inspired the best in people.

I did not get a chance to meet your dad but he sounds like he was a great one. I know he must be super proud of you and the amazing young lady you´ve become. Remember you´ll see him again someday and continue life´s journey with him.
Sending our love and prayers to you Erica.
