Clifford Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home on Jun. 19, 2024.
Clifford Lee "Cliff" Evans, age 77, died on June 17, 2024 at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Temple, Texas.
Cliff was born April 2, 1947 in Harlingen, Texas to Dr. Augustus "Gus" Evans, Jr. and Alice Evans. He attended the Cameron public schools, graduating from CH Yoe High School in 1965. Cliff was an adventurer, traveling far and wide. As a young man he would go his own way taking off alone in a small boat to fish all day when we visited Sharbot Lake, Ontario or building forts with his friends in the woods around Cameron. Later in life, he became a merchant marine and traveled the world. In retirement, Cliff enjoyed working on projects at his home in the Cameron countryside where he had many lifelong, loyal friends.
Cliff was a loving son to his mother and a blessing to his family and friends by his kind and generous spirit. He will be greatly missed.
Cliff is survived by his following family.
His mom Alice Evans. His sister, Inez Cobb and Brother-in-law, Leonard Cobb. His sister, Debra "Deb" Taylor and Brother-in-law, Tim Taylor.
His nephew, Eric Cobb and fiancee Rebecca; grandniece Carson Thompson and husband Connor; grandnephew Patrick Cobb and wife Maddie.
His niece Jennifer Brasher and husband John; grandnephew Trevor Stump; grandniece Elyse Brasher.
His nephew, Jonathan Cobb and wife Kaylyn.
His niece, Meta Brown and husband Ian.
His niece, Kirsten Taylor Christensen and husband Jonathan.
