We will all miss "Mr Buckwheat" . He was a great ambassador for Yates County and the Village of Penn Yan. If we all would pitch together maybe just maybe we could bring the Buckwheat Festival in Cliff's honor.

What a positive promoter of Penn Yan and Yates County! Always a wave from the Post Office steps when our paths crossed. We will miss his smiling face at our Moose Lodge and all area events.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Cliff's family during this difficult time. All of us at NOFA-NY Certified Organic will remember him as a person of integrity and dedication. It was a true pleasure to work with him over the last 14 years. The organic industry as lost a special leader.

My sincere condolences to Cliff's family, colleagues, and friends on this tragic loss. I have enjoyed my associations with Cliff over three decades of working with small grains in New York. He was a faithful attendee and speaker at our Cornell Cooperative Extension Field Days - always glad to share his insights with others. I remember when he led our group of Cornell students on a tour of Birkett Mills and the enthusiasm Cliff imparted to the students along with the technical information. Cliff will be missed.
