Dr. Clifford Randall, 100, died peacefully at home on December 22nd. He is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Ursula Randall, his five children (Leah, Mark, Brian, Kent and Leslie), four grandchildren (Christopher, Lina, Camille and Kate), two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Clifford grew up in the South Shore of Chicago, where he first met Ursula Brodbeck at age 6 as they both performed in their piano teacher's recital. He went on to college and then dental school at Loyola, where he was class president. He married in 1948. Clifford entered military service during the second world war and also served during the Korean War. He was stationed in Nara Japan as a Dentist, serving both military and civilians alongside Japanese dentists. This sparked an interest in foreign cultures that he cultivated in many world travels with Ursula. Dr. Randall then practiced dentistry with his father on the East side of Chicago, opened his own practice in Worth, and then in Palos Heights. His devotion to his patients generated families of loyal, lifetime patients. Dr. Randall also volunteered for those in need at St. Basil's on the Southwest side. He did not completely retire until he was 88 years old. Clifford and Ursula Randall built a home in 1965, from which all five children attended high school. Their devotion to each other was manifest in his support of Ursula's artistry. Clifford made deep lifelong friendships through his practice, and through his intense appreciation of classical music and jazz. He also imbued this in each of his children, using among other ways, a family combo of piano, bass, saxophone and other instruments. Dr. Randall and Ursula attended the Chicago Symphony for over 50 years, was a lifelong member of the American Dental Association, and became a proud member of Orland Park V.F.W.
Visitation: Friday, January 2nd, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL until time of prayers 10:15 a.m., then to St. Michael Church, Mass 11:00 a.m.
Interment private for family at St. Mary's Cemetery, 87th and Hamlin, Evergreen Park
