Life is but a stopping place,

A pause in what's to be,

A resting place along the road,

To sweet eternity.

Clifford Angelo Relford was born on December 16, 1959, in Vero Beach, Florida, to the late Clifford Relford and Susan Hudson Relford. To many, he was affectionately known as "Low Rider."

A TIME TO LIVE

Clifford "Low Rider" Relford attended the public schools of Indian River County and was a proud member of Vero Beach High School's Class of 1977. After graduating, he attended Tampa Technical College, where he earned his degree in Computer Science. He began his professional career with Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Florida, applying his skills and dedication to every task.

Clifford later joined the United States Navy, where he served honorably for five years. Following his service, he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he pursued a career as a Dietitian. His strong work ethic and leadership quickly earned him promotions at Brian Center Assisted Living, where he also obtained several professional certifications.

During his time in North Carolina, Clifford met and married Sheila Bogar. To this union, one son was born.

Years later, "Low Rider" returned to his hometown of Gifford, Florida, where he worked faithfully for the School District of Indian River County as a maintenance worker.

Clifford was an avid fisherman who enjoyed using his hands to repair, restore, and improve anything around him. He had a deep love for cooking, especially for his family and friends, and he was well known for his famous hush puppies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Susan Relford, and two brothers, Shawn Relford and Simmie Hudson.

A TIME TO MOURN

Left to cherish his precious memories are: his son, Clifford Rajeed (Shabrie) Relford; one grandson, Clifford Gavin Relford; and one granddaughter, Xayah Monroe Relford - all of Charlotte, North Carolina.

He also leaves to mourn: his brother, Michael Relford (June) of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Jackie Linton of Hermiston, Oregon, and Sanoma Relford of Gifford, Florida and his sister-in-law, Sharon Winn Hudson.

He is also survived by his uncle, Bennie Relford (Linda) of Charlotte, NC; aunts, Priscilla Hudson of Gifford, Florida; Frances Williams of New York; and Iola Allen and Fannie Relford of Quincy, Florida.

Additionally, he will be remembered with love by his three god-sisters, Connie Peterson, Felicia Williams, and Dena Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
