Clifford Swanson Obituary
Clifford P. Swanson, 77, of Jim Thorpe, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2025, at Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning.
Clifford was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on Oct. 5, 1947, to Henrietta (Wechter) Swanson and William Swanson. He was raised in Philadelphia, where he worked as a steamfitter for Local Union 420.
After retirement, Cliff moved to Anaconda, Montana, where he spent his time doing what he loved most, hunting and fishing. After almost a decade, he returned home to Jim Thorpe.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Henrietta and William; and his grandson, Nathan Swanson.
Surviving are his son Joseph, husband of Angela (Watto) Swanson, and grandson, Benjamin Swanson, of Jim Thorpe; and a brother, David Swanson of Philadelphia.
To honor Cliff's wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.
