I am so saddened to hear about Jay's passing. He handled my remodel after the flood and he was just wonderful to be around. He even spoiled my dog. I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that he touched many lives and that good heart of his is a one way ticket to heaven. God bless.

Debbie and Stephanie,
We just heard about Jay's passing and want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Jay was always upbeat and a generally pleasant person to be around. He will be missed. (Robert & Sheryl)

Jerry and I were 2d cousins. His grandmother Jennie was sister to my grandmother Lillian Smith Roe. A pity we never met. My condolences to his family!

Debbie, Stephanie, and Kristian my love and prayers are with you at this time and in the days to follow. Each time I seen that precious grandson Jay I would tell him how much he favored you and how I'd fill him in on a few stories from your youth when he got older, only to be given that little Jay smile. Jay, you were one of a kind...loving, funny, caring, but above all devoted. Until we meet again on that golden shore your memory will forever be held in my heart.

Words don't come easily and aren't enough to express my feelings at your passing. Such a genuine, caring, silly, soft-spoken man who was truly a man of God...whose legacy will live on in the lives of many. Heart hugs for Debbie, Stephanie, Christian, etc. in the days ahead as they continue honoring you in their lives. Will miss you, JaySmith...Love, Miss Elaine-eous...

My Darling Jay-Bird. I was there when you took your first breath. My heart is shattered because i could not be with you when you took your last. We always had a special bond that not even death could break. All the years you lived with Maw Maw, Paw Paw and Me you were my world. You called me Momma Puddin and i loved you as if I were your Mother. No one could have loved you more. We shared so many wonderful times and you were always there for me, Todd and Joelle. We love you and miss you more than words can say. Until we meet again, Rest in Peace. Momma Puddin, Todd and Joelle
