I am so saddened to hear about Jay's passing. He handled my remodel after the flood and he was just wonderful to be around. He even spoiled my dog. I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that he touched many lives and that good heart of his is a one way ticket to heaven. God bless.

Jerry and I were 2d cousins. His grandmother Jennie was sister to my grandmother Lillian Smith Roe. A pity we never met. My condolences to his family!

Each time I seen that precious grandson Jay I would tell him how much he favored you and how I'd fill him in on a few stories from your youth when he got older, only to be given that little Jay smile. Jay, you were one of a kind...loving, funny, caring, but above all devoted. Until we meet again on that golden shore your memory will forever be held in my heart.

My Darling Jay-Bird. I was there when you took your first breath. My heart is shattered because i could not be with you when you took your last. We always had a special bond that not even death could break. All the years you lived with Maw Maw, Paw Paw and Me you were my world.
