Clint Duane Lanford age 65, passed away July 24, 2025 at his home in Clifton, Colorado.

Born January 28, 1960 to the late Milinda and Clarence Lanford in Lake Charles, LA.

Clint moved to California as a young child with his mother and brother, after time spent in Lindsay and Fresno a home was established in Visalia. Where Clint attended Mt. Whitney HS, joining California Conservation Corp and serving as a crew leader. Clint obtained his GED while fighting fires, performing flood management and replanting forest seedlings for the conservation of Northern California Forests.

Clint married his soul mate Stephanie in August of 1991. Together they raised three sons, relocating to Colorado in 1995, calling Collbran home for nearly 20 years.

Clint being the “Jack of all trades, master of none” he worked framing stick and steel, both residential and commercial, spent several years doing farrier service, prior to his positions as an environmental services supervisor “glorified maintenance guy” he called it, for both Powderhorn Ski Resort then retiring from Plateau Valley Medical Clinic in 2020.

Clint shared his love of the outdoors, camping, hiking, horseback riding/training, OHV off roading, with his deepest outdoor passion of riding his Harley Davidson MC, with his family who will continue to honor his passions for generations to come.

Clint’s nick name in elementary school “Clinty the Clown” was a reflection of his jokester personality. Clint also had a quiet, stern side (just ask his boys) with value in hard work and personal privacy.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents Milinda and Clarence Lanford.

Clint is survived by his loving spouse Stephanie. His three sons of whom he was so proud, Matthew (Jaylene) Kirby, Collbran, CO, Joseph (Jordan) Kirby, Missoula, MT, and Dustin (Jess) Lanford, Grand Junction, CO. His brother Chris (Teresa) Lanford Idaho Falls, ID. Seven Grandchildren providing him smiles through the storms, Korbin, Kaiden, Kelton, Lane, Aila, Landon and Kinsleigh.

Memorial services are planned for August 30, 2025, at the home of his eldest son in Collbran CO
