Death Notice

Clint Thomas Muncy

1974 - 2022

On Sunday, November 27, 2022, Clint Thomas Muncy, 48, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence. We think he did it to get out of paying for his daughter's car insurance.
Clint was born on October 18, 1974, in Waynesboro, VA to Thomas P. Muncy, Jr. and Virginia J. Muncy. He graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1993 where he was a member of the infamous "Brew Crew" along with his lifelong best friends. During his time at Waynesboro High School, he was also a member of the football team, baseball team, Concert Choir, and was the best Gaston in their rendition of Beauty and the Beast. He was well known for being quite the troublemaker at school (and at home), including, but definitely not limited to, flooding the hallway by the weight-lifting room with water guns, all while his father was his principal.
Clint was a friend to all and would drop anything and everything to lend a hand when needed. Notably, his colleagues stated they always had to include "Not Urgent" in their messages to him because otherwise he would show up looking like he just ran a marathon. He loved family cookouts and get togethers, as long as he was the one in charge of the grill. He was particularly good at cooking without recipes, making everyone frustrated that he could just throw random ingredients together and somehow make it work. He was an avid supporter of Virginia Tech, even when they had a terrible record in sports. Most of all, Clint loved his family and he never failed to make sure that they knew it.
His dedication and strong work ethic positioned him as a great asset to every work place he was a part of. He was a determined individual who put his all into everything he did, even going so far as to fall through the ceiling while fixing something at work. It is important to note that after this accident, he kept working despite all recommendations to go to the hospital. He was also well known for supergluing cuts and scratches to avoid getting stitches (believe it or not, he was scared of needles).
Clint had a bold and fiery personality and would fill up a room with just his presence alone. He was larger than life, in more ways than one, and did things exactly the way he wanted to up until his final breath. He was a devoted father who instilled a strong sense of confidence, stubbornness, and compassion into his daughter. He was so successful that he found himself often losing most arguments to his mini-me.
Clint was survived by his parents Virginia Muncy and Thomas P. Muncy, Jr. and daughter Courtney. He is also survived by his longtime partner Julie Cahall and her children Lauren and Aaron and Lauren's new baby Charlotte Grace. Other survivors are his sister Michele Muncy Brothers, her husband Mark, and children Michael, Scott, and John of North Carolina.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made toward Courtney's college fund in care of Thomas P. Muncy, Jr.
