Clinton "Clint" Dale Applegate, born July 21, 1963 passed away at the age of 62 on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at home surrounded by family after a battle with cancer.

While he was born with a progressive eye disease that eventually led to total blindness, it never hindered how he lived life. He was a world traveler beginning in his teens when he qualified to compete at the International Special Olympics in Holland where he medaled in both wrestling and track. His adventures later led him to such places as Dubai, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and the Philippines.

Clint was a member of Mensa and worked throughout much of his adult life in the vending industry. He was raised and lived his life as a Christian.

Survived by his Filipina spouse, Esterlita Bitio Mangohom, she shared in many of these experiences with him. He had one son, Jonathan and a grandson, Rylan, Louisville, KY. Clint was very proud of both of them.

He is survived by six siblings, sisters Vickie Tarbox, Debbie (Larry) Doyle and Maletta (Brack) Casebolt and brothers, Brent (Carol) Applegate, Travis Applegate and Jeramy Applegate and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chelsea Applegate and Carolyn Grayson Johnson and two brothers, Jeffery and Glen Franklin.

A memorial service will be held for Clint at a later date and will be announced at that time.
