Mrs. Cloma Jean Mitchell of Wichita Falls, died May 22nd, 2025 at home with the love of her life by her side. She was born on August 13, 1939 in Marietta, OK to Granville and Cloma Ellis. Jean married Robert O. Mitchell on June 3, 1956 in Gainesville, TX. She and Robert had 3 children, Scott Mitchell, Richard Mitchell and Mitsi Mitchell Key and also raised their granddaughter, Kristen Mason.
Jean worked tirelessly as a school master, teacher and church secretary in support of her husband Father Robert Mitchell in multiple Episcopal churches. Jean is survived by her husband of 69 years, Father Robert Mitchell, her son, Richard Mitchell and wife, Julie, her daughter, Mitsi Mitchell Key and spouse, Milton, and granddaughter, Kristen Mason and husband, Derick. She is also survived by her sister, Ginger Davis and grandchildren, Philip Arnold, Kamryn Sands, Rebecca Mitchell, Danielle Mitchell, Nathan Mitchell, Grace Key, Anistyn Mason and Ansley Mason. She is also survived by her beloved sister in laws and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her oldest son, Scott Mitchell, her parents and many friends and relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 27th from 4-6pm at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home and will continue at the house of Mary Kaden. The service will be Wednesday, May 28th at 11am at St Paul’s Episcopal Church with Father William Crary presiding. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Mitchell, Derick Mason, Nathan Mitchell, Philip Arnold, Milton Key and Phillip Mason.
