Cloris Cloreen Durham Allen passed away on December 22, 2024. She was born July 9, 1930 to Ida Lenora and James Washington Wilkins in Grandfield, Oklahoma.

Cloreen met and married Clenton (Bud) Durham when she was seventeen years old. After two years of farming, they moved to Texas and built a life and family. They had five children, Clinton, James, Sandra, Danny, and Linda.

Cloreen turned an enjoyable hobby of sewing into her upholstery business for twenty years while raising her children. She loved being a GramZy to her grandkids.

Cloreen was a devout Jehovah’s Witness. She worked hard, loved pickin the guitar, playing the fiddle, and singing with family and friends on her back porch. Cloreen was a strong woman with a heart of gold. Even as she declined her passion for singing gospel music remained strong as ever.

Cloreen is survived by her daughter Linda Newman; grandchildren, Shauna Newman, Marai Newman, Jaylee Newman, Weston Newman, Timothy Harris, Andy and Tammy Durham, Ray Durham; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Allen, sons Clinton Durham, Danny Durham, James Durham and daughter Sandra Fowler.

Cloreen will be lying in state from 9-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday December 26, 2024, at Willow Pond Cemetery.
