Clovis Justice, 91, of Wooster, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Clovis was born on Feb. 14, 1934, in Pikeville, KY to John and Josie (Mutter) Justice and married Betty A Snyder who preceded him in death on March 11, 2004. He retired from General Motors in 1988 after 33 years of service and had made his home in Rittman and Cleveland before moving to Wooster. Clovis enjoyed golfing, watching the Cleveland Indians and after retiring enjoyed running. He was a man of faith who had a personnel relationship with Christ.
Clovis will be greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tony Horton of Wooster who took wonderful care of Clovis; his son, Michael and his wife, Debby Justice of Rittman, daughter-in-law, Vickie Justice of Florida; his granddaughters, Marissa Oxenrider and her husband Liam Cloyd, Amanda Oxenrider, Kelly Justice; Tabatha Justice, Brittney Justice, and Jessica Justice; 2 great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Caleb Martin and nieces and nephews including special nieces and their husbands, Pat and Tom Gerber, Marla Lautzenhiser and Debbie and Randy Webb.
Clovis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; son, Paul Justice in 2018; his parents and brothers, Victor, Martin, Lochiel, Harold, Leo, Raymond, Frank and an infant brother.
Family services will be held at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
