Clyde J Chilcote

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clyde Chilcote, 78, of Crivitz. He passed from a heart attack on December 4, 2025, while driving home on Airport Rd. Clyde was born on August 30, 1947, to the late Glenn and Vivian (Mattox) Chilcote. He was born and raised in Crivitz and moved to Milwaukee for about six years where he ran a machine shop. He moved back to Crivitz and served on the Fire Department for many years and started his own small engine repair shop, Bonnie & Clyde Small Engine and Pet Store. Once retiring, he lived out his years driving equipment and playing on the farm with the Vandewalles. His hobbies include fishing and hunting with his buddies, especially for bear, deer, racoon, and coyote. In addition, he loved to train up the next generation to hunt and fish. Clyde earned numerous awards for snowmobile racing and his hunting dogs. He enjoyed helping his friends and strangers alike and loved creating new things to make life easier.
Clyde is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Orlando; brothers, Stephen and David; sister, Leila; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary's Church Hall in Crivitz from 9-11am on Saturday, December 20th. Services will be held at 11am with Andy Bauer-New Life Church officiating with a luncheon to follow. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
