Clyde Dyson was born March 24, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee to Mr. Hayes and Annie Lee Dyson. Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel Clyde Dyson served as Wing Chaplain of 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. He provides leadership and oversight as directed by the 19th Airlift Wing Commander which consists of active duty, reserve and guard personnel including over 12,000 stationed in the Team Little Rock military community. Ch Dyson supervises five chaplains, five Religious Affairs Airmen, and four contractors. Provide spiritual care and the opportunity for Airmen, their families, and other authorized personnel to exercise their constitutional right to the free exercise of religion. Directs religious observances, pastoral care, and advises leadership on spiritual, ethical, moral, morale, core values, and religious accommodation issues. Also, he develops chapel policies, plans, programs, readiness, contingency requirements, strategic ministry plan and provides pastoral care and support for 15 tenant units located on Little Rock. Finally, Ch Dyson serves as primary liaison with the 314th Airlift Wing (AETC), 189th Airlift Wing (ANG), 913th Airlift Wing (AFRC), and 29th Weapons Squadron (ACC) in all aspects of C-130 training.
Chaplain Dyson was commissioned in 1988 as a Second
Lieutenant in the Army National Guard in the state of Washington after serving four and half years as a Sergeant in the Regular Army at Fort Lewis, Washington. He earned his undergraduate degree from Saint
Martin's College in Lacey, Washington. He graduated twice from Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee, earning a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry seven years later. Chaplain is endorsed by the Churches Of God In Christ (COGIC). He is a graduate of several Army residential company grade officer schools, Squadron Officer School, and the 2012 Witherspoon Award winner. Prior to assuming his current position, Chaplain Dyson was the Deputy Command Chaplain at Air Mobility Command Chaplain Office, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Chaplain Dyson is married to Mrs. Dariah (Perryman) Dyson, and is the proud Father of three sons, Clyde Joshua Dyson Jr., Joseph Kaleb Dyson, and Isaiah Jermaine Dyson.

Clyde Dyson is survived by his wife, Dariah Dyson of 34 years and three sons, Clyde Joshua Jr., 28 yrs, Joseph Kaleb Dyson, 27, and Isaiah Jermaine Dyson 25; his siblings, Thomas Dyson, (Carolyn), Clarence Dyson (Jean), Helen Jackson, Emma Turner (Sullivan), Mary McIntyre, Willie Louis Dyson, (Camala); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews and cousin, and relatives in love: Archie Lee Crawford, Nylin Jones, Severia and Joe McCall, Carmichael Crawford, Royce Crawford, Sanford Crawford, Debra and Sylvester Bland, Caroyn Mitchell and Gary Mitchell, Craig Jones, Sharon Jones and Gregory Jones. He is preceded in death by parents, Hayes Dyson and Anna Lee Dyson
