He was born November 17, 1914, in Berville, Mich., the youngest of six sons of Frank and Ida (Gilbert) Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Eldon, Eldred, Wendall, Wayne and Neil.
Clyde spent some time in his early adulthood riding his 1929 Indian Motorcycle from Michigan to California and worked along the way in a variety of jobs. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the countryside.
On August 6, 1939, he married Lucille Worden in Fowlerville, Mich., and she survives him, a most dedicated wife of 69 years.
Clyde worked as a truck driver for the Detroit Creamery and retired after a 21 year career. In 1957 he purchased a farm in Mancelona and moved his family. He then started a new career as a school bus driver for the Mancelona School until he retired in 1978 as the Head Bus Driver. Clyde and Lucille have spent the winters for the last 23 years in retirement in Mission, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; son Kenneth (Gloria) Ferguson; daughter Phyllis (Mike) Clark; granddaughter Charity Grigal; and three great-grandchildren.
Clyde lived his life believing that humility, integrity and a sense of humor were a man's greatest attributes. He valued above all else his beloved family and a hard day's work.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.

Dear Phyllis and Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. The longer our parents live, the harder it is to imagine our lives without them. His love and spirit will remain with you...in special moments you WILL feel his presence.
"When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, Remember the love that we have shared and that shall comfort thee."
Sincerely,

Clyde was the dearest, sweetest grandfather who had spunk that no one would believe. At 93, he was an amazing, aware, free spirit that everyone loved. His granddaughter and her children could not of asked for a better grandparent! I am sorry for your loss, but he is a man with a past that will live with you all for all your days and has left a memory that will never be forgotten. Enjoy all he gave, showed and instilled in you, for he was a joyful man who would want that for all of you!
