Clyde Wayne Hedrick

CLYDE WAYNE HEDRICK went to be with the Lord January 13, 2026. He passed peacefully at home with his children by his side.
Clyde was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Hilda Kincaid Hedrick, parents Carrie Sheppard and Marion Hedrick, brothers Charles, John, Walter, Art and sister Ruth.
He is survived by his children, Dennis and wife, Kristin Hedrick and their children and daughter Teresa Hedrick Neel, sister Mary Dunbar and several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Clyde served as an electrician in the navy during the Korean War.
He later worked in Milwaukee, WI at P&H Cranes where he supervised several large construction projects in Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois.
He moved his family to Coshocton, Ohio and worked for GE and was active in the Masonic Lodge.
Clyde finished his career working at Union Carbide in Charleston, WV before starting own business in sales and consulting of electronics.
He was a life long Methodist and a member of Morris Memorial United Methodist Church for 57 years, where he taught Sunday School, served as a boy scout leader, attended senior exercise and helped with electrical and construction projects.
Clyde loved his family and enjoyed many vacations fishing, hunting, camping and at the beach. He was an avid cyclist and loved biking the rail trails with his family. He was much loved for his sense of humor and joking nature.
Gardening was his favorite hobby where he excelled and continued until his passing.
He was a devoted son and took care of his elderly mother. He was also a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and good friend and handyman to many. He and his wife, Hilda, were extremely close. Their love for each other was obvious to all.
At his request, there will be a brief family service before interment at Wallace Cemetery, Sam Black Church, WV.
In lieu of flowers, consider donating to your family's favorite children's charity or to Hospice whose nurses and care were a gift during his last days.
