Clyde Edward Johnson

Clyde E. Johnson 82, Indianapolis, passed away September 26, 2008. He was born April 9, 1926 in Sumner County, TN, the son of Homer and Linda (Slicer) Johnson. Clyde retired from Beech Grove Schools in 1988. He had also worked at Hygrades and in construction. He was a member of Shelbyville Road Church of Christ. Clyde enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James W. Johnson. Clyde is survived by his wife Kathryn R. Johnson; his daughter, Teresa Bowman (Ron); his sons, Doug Johnson (Susie) and Dennis Johnson (Leslie); his sister, Esma Perdue; his "buddies", Lexi and Tori Bowman; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, at 10 a.m. at Legacy Funeral Center at Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30 from 4-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to services on Wed. at the funeral center.
