Clyde E. Lyons

Clyde E. Lyons, 92, of Shirley, beloved husband of Margaret May Lyons, went to be with his Lord and Savior, March 19, 2019 at his home. He was a 23 year member of New Hope Trinity Church in Anderson. Clyde was born in Morehead, Kentucky to Leonard and Laura Stevens Lyons on June 21, 1926. He was an army veteran, a carpenter, and retired from Chrysler after 36 years of service. Clyde will be remembered as a hardworking, honest man with a kind and gentle spirit. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Margaret May Lyons, his sister, Rosella (Vernon) May, sons, Byron Lyons and Kennie Lyons, and grandchildren, Tammy (Paul) Wilkinson, Marshall (Tami) Lyons, Allie Lyons, and Taylor Ankrom. Clyde was beloved by his wife Margaret's children, Ron Jordan, Cathy (Montie) Womack, David Arnold, Melinda (Brent) Schludecker, and Amanda (Paul) Smith and by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Juanita Thomas Lyons, his parents, and by siblings, Elva Eugene Lyons, Earl Leroy Lyons, Cleo Ray Lyons, and Joyce Ray. Services will be on Monday at 3:00 pm at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, IN 46186 with Rev. Clifton Smith officiating. Burial will be at McCray cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
