Clyde Benton McCord

Clyde Benton McCord, age 82, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at his home. He was born to his parents, the late Marvin McCord and Elizabeth McArthur McCord on December 3, 1943 in Williamson County, Tennessee.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Clayton) Neal of Woodbury, Tammy (Jeff) Parker of Readyville, Chad McCord of Woodbury, Wayne (Robin) McCord of Woodbury and Penny McCord (Carter Pope) of Woodbury; grandchildren, Tabatha (Doug) Brown, Victoria (Jerome) Curran, Dalton (Alicia) Neal, Darrek Parker, Tayler Thompson, Jonathan McCord, Addison McCord, Alexis McCord, Michael McCord, Shayla McCord and Breanna Pope; great grandchildren, Payton, Callie and Bristol Brown, Avery and Callan Neal, Evelyn Curran, Kensleigh, Willow and Tinsley Parker, Emerlynn Thompson and honorary great granddaughter, Alanna Spann; and Siblings, Arlene (Larry) Sanders and Betty Ann (William) Green, both of Woodbury.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McCord; Daughter-in-law, LeAnn McCord; and Siblings, J.T. McCord, John Henry McCord, Margaret Burks, & Mary Jo Bryan.

Mr. McCord was a member of the Woodbury Pentecostal Church. He was a school bus driver for Rutherford & Cannon schools for 51 years and a custodian at Buchanan & Central Middle Schools. He was also a veterinary assistant for Dr. Alan Jackson.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Woodbury Pentecostal Church (1305 Jim Cummings Hwy., Woodbury) with Rev. Clayton & Dalton Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory. The visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Friday, March 20, 2026 at Woodbury Funeral Home and from 9:30 am until time of service at the Woodbury Pentecostal Church.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Arnold, Larry Reed, Don Reed, and Ron Campbell.
