Our kind and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Clyde J Williams, age 85, passed away August 20, 2025, at his home in Salina. He was born January 13, 1940, in Salina, a son of Lewis Thurland and Erna Lenora Larsen Williams. He grew up in Salina, where he enjoyed horse back riding and hunting. He graduated from North Sevier High School where he enjoyed sports and participated in track and field events. He graduated with the class of 1958.
After graduation, he moved to Wah Wah in Beaver County working as a ranch hand. He then served his country in the United States Army. After being discharged, he then went to work for General Electric, working as a Turbine Mechanic and later for SUFCO, where he retired.
He married Lani Baxter and they were later divorced. He married Fae Anderson and later divorced. He later married Cindy Replogle and they divorced.
Clyde was an avid outdoors man. He liked hunting, fishing, horseback riding, but especially loved watching his grandkids play sports. He supported all of the local school’s sports teams. He enjoyed taking and sharing his photos with family and friends. He loved to grow a vegetable garden and flower garden every year and would share the produce and especially his beloved dahlias with all the neighbors.
Clyde is survived by his children: Marie (Roger) Rose, Ellen (Ralph) Pectol, all of Milford; James (Tomiko) Williams of Joseph; JoAnn (Scott) Hansen of Murray; Julie (Bobby) Allred of Magna; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings: Don Williams of Salt Lake City; Glen Williams of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Burke Williams of Redmond; and Ione Hughes of Mesquite, Nevada
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karen Williams; a grandson, Colton Allred; a great-granddaughter, Dani Gene Vetsch and and his siblings: Carol, RaeAnn, Warren and Max.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 12 Noon in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services.
Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Guard will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
