Funeral services for Clydell (Helms) Clark will be held at 1:00P.M at County Line Baptist Church in Miller Grove on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 with visitation one hour prior from 12:00 - 1:00 also at CLBC. Bro. Wayne Darty officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, TX. Pallbearers will be Michael Burkett, Steven Burkett, Jason Burkett, Billy Hyatt, Baylor Burkett, Landon Burkett. As honorary pallbearers, Kason Burkett, Austin McCullough and Justin McCullough.
Mrs. Clark went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2023. She passed peacefully with her daughter by her side at her home in Miller Grove.
She was born Myrtle Clydell to parents, Clyde and Iris Helms on Jones Lane in Roxton, TX on December 17, 1937. She attended school at Roxton and Delmar High School. She married Steven Rainey Clark on March 11, 1956. Her only child, Stephana, was born in 1958. They moved from Paris to Garland in 1959. Clydell went to work for Texas Instruments from 1959 - 2009 for fifty years of service. She moved to Miller Grove to be close to her daughter and son-in-law, Stephana, and Mike Burkett in 2015. She became a devoted member of County Line Baptist Church in 2015.
She is survived by sisters, Patsy Dunn, Carolyn Dunn and husband Dave, Linda Burress, and husband Joe. Brother-in-law Charlie Clark and wife Kay. Her daughter Stephana Burkett and husband Mike. Her grandchildren Tiffany Hyatt and husband Billy, Michael Burkett, Steven Burkett and wife Cindy, Jason Burkett, and wife Crystal. Her nine great grandchildren. Austin, Justin, Kaitlyn, Jayde, Baylor, Landon, Kaleigh, Kason and Kynsleigh. Many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and brother-in-law.
