Codey Garaux Obituary
Our beloved, Codey M. Garaux, 31 of Bolivar, OH passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2024. He was born on July 9, 1992 in Canton, OH, son of Sean and Tana (Streamo) Garaux. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mariah (Werner) Garaux, his children, Kekoa, Levon and Sunny Garaux, his siblings, Brandon Geis, Tyler (Courtney) Garaux, and Nikki Garaux, his Grandparents, Janet Streamo, Barbara Ebert, and Jon (Linda) Garaux, niece Addy Schmidt, nephew, Ben Schmidt, and cousins, Hannah, Abigail And Ella Streamo and Zion, Julia, Mycah Garaux. Aunts Sherese & Danielle Streamo, Uncle Nick (Amanda) Streamo, Aunt Dawn (Jim) Olsen, and Uncle Doug (Beth) Garaux. His dogs, Gem, and Winston, pet bird, Ozzie. Proceeded in death by his Grandfathers, Nicholas Streamo and Rodger Ebert and beloved dogs Sasha, Buster, Ever and Nahla. Codey and his beautiful smile and laughter will be deeply missed by all his family, friends, and battle buddies. Codey graduated from GlenOak High School in 2011, where he completed a Career Tech Program in Photography. After high school, he pursued a career in The United States Army as a Power Generator Specialist. He was currently employed as a Millwright with the Labor Union 1090 building Battery Plants, where he worked hard and had a deep passion for his trade. If he wasn't playing his guitar, listening to music, working in the garage on cars, riding his motorcycle or riding his BMX bike with his boys he was spending time with his family. Instead of calling hours, Codey would have wanted a Celebration of his Life with music and stories.
A Memorial Service will be held at NewPointe Community Church, 3950 SR -39, Dover, Ohio 44662 on July 1, 2024 at 10:30am. A Military Burial Ceremony will be held at The Ohio Western Reserve National Military Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273 "PROMPTLY" at 2:15 pm on July 1, 2024. A luncheon will be held in Codey's honor, with music and videos following the ceremony at Garaux Hall, 3801 13th St., SW, Canton, Ohio 44710. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made for his children Kekoa Garaux ® Chase Bank, Levon & Sunny Garaux at Seven Seventeen Credit Union or to the Stark Humane Society.
