Cody John Erali

Cody John Erali, 19, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2025. He was born on July 12, 2005, in Greenfield, MA to Eric Joseph Erali and Bobbi-Jo Vincent (Dowse). Cody was the youngest of their three sons. He moved to Florida in 2021, where he made many new friends and graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 2023. After graduating high school, Cody found his passion for landscaping. He truly enjoyed himself and took pride in landscaping homes around the community. He had a love for the outdoors, whether it was fishing, boating, riding his minibike, racing his RC car or tinkering with his toys in the garage which was always a mess. He would just look up and give us a crooked smile when we reminded him to clean up. Cody was known to be the life of the party, he had silly dance moves and loved telling jokes and teasing his friends. Cody had two true passions that included his many animals and spending time with his girlfriend, Leah Beatty-Shays of Port Orange, FL, who he loved immensely. The biggest thing Cody will be remembered for was his contagious smile and his love for helping others. His family honored his desire to help others by allowing for organ donation.
Cody was predeceased by his papa, John "Sonny" Dowse in 2014 and his grandfather Wallace Erali in 2020.
Cody leaves behind his mother Bobbi-Jo and stepfather Jammie Vincent of Daytona Beach, FL., his father Eric Erali and his significant other Jessica Matthews of Athol, MA, his brothers Joseph (Makayla) Erali of Athol, MA, Derek Erali of Athol, MA, Kye Austin of Newport VT., stepbrother, Jamieson Vincent of Athol, MA., and step-sisters Brittany Earl (Jake) of Greenfield, MA., Audrina Vincent of Athol, MA., and Gabriella and Mackenzie Matthews of Athol, MA., grandmothers Grace Dowse of Port Orange, FL., and Marie Erali of Athol, MA along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind Maizy, Kaylee, Brysen and Braylen, who Uncle Cody absolutely adored.
Calling hours will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 2:00pm until 4:00PM with a Celebration of Life being held at the American Legion, 325 Pequoig Ave, Athol, Massachusetts, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00PM until 5:00PM.
