Cody Michael Miterko

Cody Michael Miterko, 27, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away June 15, 2024 in Lexington, South Carolina. He was born on September 4, 1996 in Carthage, New York to Sharon Chisholm and Andrew Miterko.
Cody was raised in upstate New York and graduated from Indian River High School in 2014. While in high school he played soccer and lacrosse. Outside of school he enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He was described as being the life of the party. After high school, he moved to South Carolina were he began working at C.R. Jackson. He excelled in his career so much so that they created a new position as a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Instructor. The position was designed around Cody and his skillsets. Cody has always worked hard and has been determined to accomplish the goals set forth. A couple of the goals included purchasing his first home and obtaining his CDL for career advancement. Cody was loved by everyone because of the love and compassion he showed others.
Cody is survived by his mother, Sharon Chisholm; his sister, Hannah Sargent and Brother-in-Law Logan Sargent; his nephews, Lane and Hayes; and his girlfriend, Sonja Lara-Gonzalez. He is also survived by his grandma, Marie Chisholm and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Chisholm and grandmother, Florence Richardson.
The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn, on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 5pm - 8pm. A celebration of life will be held in New York at a later date.
