Colleen Duhr Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 26, 2024.
Colleen Duhr (Gohde), aged 64, passed away August 23rd 2024 peacefully in her sleep in Milton, Wisconsin. Colleen was a generous, loving person who always put others before herself. She was a beloved sister, grandmother, stepmother, and aunt (or second mother) to many and will be missed by every person she encountered. Colleen was born June 12th 1960, in Big Bend Wisconsin. She worked many years at Mercy Hospital Janesville where she was an instrument technician until she retired. More than anything Colleen will be remembered for her generosity and humor. She could make everyone in the room laugh until they cried, and then made sure they had everything they could need when they went home. She loved watching and reading about True Crime, watching Dr Phil, and swimming with her grandchildren. Colleen is survived by her siblings, Edward (Demetria) Gohde, LuAnne Zimmerman, Michael (Sheri) Gohde, and Andrew (Erika) Gohde, her stepdaughter Laura (John) Feldman, her grandchildren Brendan, Cooper and Emma, her nieces Erin, who she raised from adolescence and was like a daughter to her, Sabrina, Patricia, Andrea, Jessica, Aubrey, Bailey and Amber. Colleen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ron Duhr, her twin sister Collette Gohde, her parents Edward and Patricia Gohde, and her nephews Nicholas and Michael Gohde. There will be a celebration of life at a later date held by her family.

Coleen and Colette are my cousins. The best memory I have is when her family came to visit our family. I had recently had twin boys. I have a picture of Colette and Colleen holding my twin boys, Doug and Dan.
