Colleen Lane Richards, age 69, of East Bridgewater and Walpole, went to be with the angels on February 18th, 2026, after a long illness.
She was born in Newton, Massachusetts to Carole and Henry Lane, "Co" attended East Bridgewater High, graduating in 1974.
"Co" is survived by her loving children, daughter Taylor Richards and son Ian Richards. She was the sister of Calvin and Brian Lane of East Bridgwater. She enjoyed being "Grammy" to Aayden Ferrer of New Bedford. She was Auntie to Heather (Lane) McNeil, Amy Lane, Emila and Isla McNeil, and Renee Lane. Her later years were spent with long-time partner Frank Ciavattonne. She also leaves behind countless friends she loved as family.
From an early age Colleen loved horses, caring for and competing in "Saddle Seat." She loved traveling with her parents to shows. Through that hard work she became an award-winning accomplished horse woman. These accomplishments lead Colleen to her love of bulldogs and the AKC show ring. Her eye for detail and pride in ownership lead Colleen to become a breeder, owner, and handler to three Bronze Grand Champion bulldogs
Colleen took pride in everything she accomplished. She was known as strong, fearless and caring, always thinking of others. She was known for her sense of humor and her "infectious" laughter.
"Co" was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
