Mrs. Colleen Roundy Thatcher

Colleen Roundy Thatcher LAYTON – Colleen Roundy Thatcher, 83, passed away May 18, 2011 at Legacy Village of Layton. She was born August 10, 1927 in Oasis, UT, to Marion Angus Roundy and Phebe June (Humphreys) Roundy. Colleen married Clifton (Bob) Lisonbee Thatcher on August 14, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Colleen was a lifelong resident of Orem and was active in the LDS Church. She had a rewarding career with Mountain Bell Telephone Company and retiring after 35 years of service. She created many beautiful works of art by crocheting for her family and friends. She also loved reading and traveling and spending many winters in St. George. She is survived by two sons: Robert (Darlene) Thatcher, Layton; Guy (Kathy) Thatcher, Layton; five grandchildren, Bryan Thatcher, Amberlee Whitemyer, Nicole Schiers, Jamie Christenson, and Kelly Thatcher; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Lenna Roundy Mackey, Orem; One brother in-law Paul Kendall of Mapleton; and one sister in- law Gloria Johnson Roundy American Fork. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and Brothers Dee and Max Roundy, sister Voneal Roundy Kendall and brother in-law Robert Mackey. The family would like to thank Legacy Village of Layton and Aspire Hospice for their wonderful care. Family graveside services were held May 23, 2011 at the Provo City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, of Orem.
