Wow. Just wow. Marc & I were HM1 shipmates on the Ike, preceeded me as LPO of the medical department; preceeded me as a Sailor of the Quarter, he going on to be selected at Sailor of the Year in the mid-90s. Of all the shipmates, family, and friends I made throughout my Navy career Marc was one of a kind. That smile. Always that smile. He will be missed beyond measure.

Marc was the leading petty officer (LPO) at my first command, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). He was extremely smart and witty, but always expressed it with humility and in a way that made everyone in the room feel special. Marc was always funny and his humor was infectious and I cannot convey how sad it is to hear of his passing. I've included a couple pictures I had saved, one when he was working in the lab and the other while we were on liberty in Antalya, Turkey. Fair winds, Marc, and I wish the family smooth following seas.

What a great "Grandfather ". Liam (Gus) just loved him. I am so thankful for that and to Marc for welcoming my family into his and being the father figure my daughter needed and cherished.

RIP! One CMDCM to another. Our encounters were few but you always left me with a smile.
