Connie Sue (Faircloth) Boss, 81, of Lee County, GA, passed away June 13, 2025 at her son’s residence in Albany, GA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm with visitation at 12 noon at The First Baptist Church of Albany, GA. Rev. Keith Gaines and Dr. William E. (Butch) Knight will officiate. Interment will follow in Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery in Decatur County, GA.
Connie was born in Ashford, AL to the late Henry Clifford Ethridge and Mattie “Teat” Blalock Ethridge. She grew up in Eldorendo, GA and graduated from Bainbridge High School. Connie married the late Delmar Lamar Faircloth on February 25th, 1961. Soon after they married, they moved to LaGrange, GA where she was employed by Howard “Bo” Callaway as his secretary at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA until 1973 when they moved to Albany, GA. Connie was then employed by Proctor and Gamble as the Plant Manager’s Secretary and later the Plans and Benefits Technician until her retirement in 2005. After retirement from P&G, she was employed by Renasant Investment as the Administrative Assistant.
Connie married James Douglas Boss in 2004. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Albany and the Adult 5 Sunday School Class. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her Ladies Supper Club, her P&G friends, and Renasant Investments co-workers. One of her greatest joys was wrapping and giving gifts to her family, especially her Great-grandchildren, Maryn & Callan and her Great-nephews Jameson & Jonathan. Serving the clients and employees at her 2 jobs, loving Jesus, her family, and her friends was her whole life.
Survivors include her son Mark Faircloth (Jyl) of Albany, GA, her grandchildren, Rian Faircloth (Kristen) of Smyrna, GA and Colby Faircloth of Marietta, GA, her brother, Jerry Ethridge of Lee County, GA, her niece, Laura Ethridge (Doug) Anthony of Damascus, GA, her step-brother, Cleve (Gina) Ward of Bainbridge, GA, her step-sister, Janice Ward Brewer of Dothan, AL, her step-daughter Marie Watson (Randy) Allen of Albany, GA, and her 2 step-sons, Christopher (Renee) Boss and Stephen Boss of Lexington KY.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her oldest son, Michael Lamar “Mike” Faircloth in April 1979, her second husband, James Douglas Boss, her step-mother, Irene Ward Ethridge of Bainbridge, GA and her step-sister, Paula Ward Simmons of Seminole County, GA.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Albany.
